Following the Federal Government decisions over the weekend, we have had to put further plans in place to ensure the safety of our students. Another update has been posted on School Box. Please take the time to access and read the information.

Assalamu alaikum dear Parents and Guardians,
As the world braces for the impact of the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, we would like to ask you to not panic and stay informed with all the updates and steps you can take to protect you and your family. As a quick recap, there are more than 100,000 cases of the disease, with 95% them in mainland China. There have been three deaths in Australia (all three of them aged over 78 years with some medical complications) out of 100 confirmed cases. So even if you contract this disease, there is an extremely high chance of survival.
Again, we stress that you do NOT panic. It does not help when everyone rushes out and buy large quantities of tissues, rice, pasta, hand sanitizers and even toothpaste. If we, as a community, keep a level head and not do anything out of the ordinary and take some of the precautions outlined in these documents on this page, this will all pass without much of an effect on everyone’s daily lives, in shaa Allah.
We ask Allah to protect us and our community and give shifaa (healing) and sabr (patience) to the families affected.
A duaa to protect us from sickness:
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A’oothu bikalimaatil-laahit-taammaati min sharri maa khalaqa.
Which translates to: “I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.”
