We would like to congratulate our secondary boys who have placed in the top 5 of 50 schools in an international Arabic language debate in Qatar. Earlier this month these exemplary students – Ibrahim Mohamed, Abdirahman Hassan, Elias Taouti and Yusuf Elbakry – departed on a quest to represent Australia in the debating competition and continue on their journey to Umrah. We at Al-Taqwa are truly proud of their achievements to reach the quarter finals of the competition. Well done boys!
After our secondary students did so well at the QatarDebate international competition, his excellency Axel Wabenhorst, the Australian ambassador to Qatar, invited the entire team from Al-Taqwa College Australia for a personal visit to the Australian Embassy! We are truly grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality, Mr Wabenhorst! While they are in a far-flung continent, the land inside the embassy walls is still Australian soil.
