During the term 1 holidays, our grade 6 students made their way to the heart of the nation, Canberra. Our students participated in a range of active learning sessions which allowed them to become well equipped with the knowledge, skills and values of citizenship. The program featured a balance of educational programs and fun activities which stimulated our student’s critical and creative thinking.
The pinnacle of the trip was when our students had the exciting opportunity to participate in a law-making role-play. They became members of parliament which helped them gain a deeper understanding of law making in Australia. The Civics and Citizenship Educational Program was without a doubt an unforgettable experience for our students and many great memories were made.
