The achievements of Al-Taqwa College Secondary School students were celebrated on the 5th December 2018, in Al-Taqwa College’s annual Excellence Night.
This event celebrated and showcased the many achievements and events our year 7-12 students were involved in over the course of the year.
Over 100 students received awards in various domains such as academic excellence, art, drama, debating, public speaking, Islamic values, volunteering, behaviour, sporting achievement and leadership.
The MC for the night was our Head of Secondary, Behije Cura. We also had some encouraging words from Sheikh Warsama Bulhan as well as a motivational speech from the Principal, Mr Omar Hallak.
There were smiles all around from both students as they received their awards on stage and for the parents – who could see that their child’s hard work and continued efforts throughout the year had been worthwhile.
On behalf of Al-Taqwa College, we would like to thank all secondary school students who worked persistently throughout the year to ultimately achieve excellence in their respective faculties and domains. We would also like to thank the teachers who supported our students in their attempts to flourish to their best potential. May Allah (swt) continue to keep our students on the path of excellence and make their efforts ever fruitful for 2019 as well, inshaAllah.
