Join us as we open our doors to the public for our annual Al-Taqwa College Open Day on Saturday 21 March 2020. Watch demonstrations in our classrooms in various subjects such as IT, media, home economics, science and much more! There will be a free sausage sizzle for our visitors and freshly brewed barista-made coffee at our ATCino cafe stall. SUBJECT EXPO
On Saturday 21 March, Al-Taqwa College will be holding the Subject Selection Expo in the senior school multi-purpose hall. This will in conjunction with the College Open Day.
The Expo is an annual event that brings together the subject leaders available in VCE and VCAL. It is an unmissable opportunity to talk to the leaders and teachers in many different subject areas and begin to appreciate the diverse options available to students. Moreover, it is an opportunity to speak with the teachers about the subject content, the way in which the subject is taught, opportunities for extensions and acceleration.
During the Expo, Gus Napoli, Later Years Coordinator, Yasein Yassin, Careers Advisor, and other senior leaders will be present to provide advice and information to all students and parents.
Heads, coordinators, teachers and subject information will be under one roof so it is an opportunity not to be missed for all year 8, 9 and 10 students to ensure you and your child are adequately informed about the options in Years 11 and 12 and how to achieve the best possible outcome.
