Al-Taqwa’s Golden Golf Girl

Al-Taqwa student Mahnoor Sohail of year 8 has been selected in the Senior Golf school state team.  The team consists of the best Victorian female golfers under the age of 17.  Mahnoor will be travelling to Canberra during August to compete against the U17 female golfers Australia wide.

Mahnoor won the national U12 title back in 2013 as well as the state titles two years in a row.  This records puts her up with the golfing greats, Karrie Web, Adam Scott and Greg Norman.  It is the first time that a year 8 student has made it to the senior team.  Mahnoor is representing Al-Taqwa College in her August competition and on behalf of the School Council, Mr Hallak, staff and students, we would like to wish Mahnoor all the very best.
